Brandy will lead a 3-hour guided forest bathing experience on Saturday, May 21st at the Spring BOW in Indianola! This women’s-only retreat is for 120 women to learn outdoor skills and share time together in the woods.
Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) is an international program aimed primarily at women, but is an opportunity for anyone 18 years or older to learn outdoor skills usually associated with hunting and fishing, but useful for many outdoor pursuits.
The workshop is being held at Wesley Woods Camp and Retreat Center in Indianola, IA. Lodging is available in shared bunk-style lodges with shared bathrooms. Workshop fees include instruction in all sessions, program materials, use of demonstration equipment, t-shirt, session takeaways, meals and lodging (if selected). REGISTRATION LINKED HERE!!
The goal of the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (bow) scholarship program is to broaden participation in the weekend workshop to women 18 years old and older who would be unable to attend without financial assistance. Iowa BOW encourages anyone to apply for a scholarship. However, preference will be given to first-time attendees and those promoting diversity in outdoors education across the state through their community affiliations, culture, region, and/or profession.
2022 BOW scholarship applications due by May 1, 2022.
2022 BOW scholarship winners will be notified by May 6, 2022.
